English: material facts
Spanish: hechos importantes, esenciales, pertinentes
Definition (English):—
Definition (Spanish):—
Comments:As per the Rama Judicial de Puerto Rico, hechos pertinentes (Reglas de Evidencia, 2009); there also seems to be a broad use of this collocation in Spanish, and in legal doctrine, at least from Spain. See a very illuminating example here: https://confilegal.com/20180811-cuales-son-preguntas-inutiles-sugestivas-capciosas-en-un-juicio/ Although Jowers (386) gives pregunta impertinente as irrelevant question. Keep in mind that material facts are those that go, as they say, to the heart of the issue.
