prima facie eligibility

English: prima facie eligibility

Spanish: cumplir con, reunir los requisitos a primera vista

Definition (English):—

Definition (Spanish):—

Comments:Note that prima facie eligibility, for example in 42-B cancellation, refers to some basic facts: one does not have disqualifying convictions, one has (allegedly) been in the country for 10 years, and one has (allegedly) a qualifying USC relative. The rest of the factors, including hardship, etc., have to be shown. 'tener derecho a' goes much farther than what is intended by 'eligibility' in this context; the more tentative 'reunir los requisitos' is more appropriate.
